NIU Tutor

My name is Josh Nilsson, I am currently finishing my education at Northern Illinois University. I am pursuing a degree in Biology / Chemistry Secondary Education. I will begin teaching high school science in the Spring of 2007. I chose to become a teacher because I believe it is the best way for me to reach students. I feel that teachers are some of the most influential people in one's lifetime. Today's young students are dealing with more than any previous generation. They are being innundated by today's culture and many feel lost without an anchor. I hope to become a teacher that students can look up to and emmulate. I desire to life a life of integrity that students will want to mimic in their own lives.

My qualifications include several years of tutoring at the high school, jr. college, and university levels. I am in my fifth year at NIU and will be leaving with a major in biology, minor in chemistry, and a secondary education teaching certificate.
