The First Few Months
If you get your kitten right after it was born, you will have to take a better care of it than you would need to take for a grown cat. For example, to feed a grown cat all you need to do is put some cat food in a bowl and put it on the ground. To feed a small kitten that was just born, you will need to put the kitten in your hands and open its mouth so you can pour some milk into its mouth. After a month it will probebly be able to eat by itself. After about a month or two, the kitten might start being mischievous. That means that it might start chewing on cables or attacking your feet while you are sleeping. When it will be about a year old, the kitten might stop being mischievous.
The First and Second Years
On the first and second years the cat will want a lot of attention. I suggest you to be very patiant with it. Don't give them to much attention, but give them enough. When you have only one cat and you don't give enough attention to it, it will get very bored and sad. If you have more than one cat it does not mean that since they are two or more you shouldn't give attention to them. When you feed your one or two year old cat, make sure you don't give them kitten's food. It will not be enough food for them. Make sure the cat always has enough water. I would suggest that you change their water every day so they can have nice and clean water. When you feed your cat I would suggest you not to give them any of your food. If you do, the cat will probebly get fat and very unhealthy.
The Third Through Tenth Years
On the third through tenth years the cat will sleep and eat much more. It will play much less. The cat would want to be peted more. Most cats don't live more than ten years, but if yours does, it will even sleep more. When you see that your cat is starting to die, I suggest you take it to the veterinarian. The veterinarian will probebly say the cat is dieing because it is old. So I would just suggest you to enjoy the last minutes or hours with your cat.
